The design and implementation of programs for individuals with learning disabilities is an integral part of what we do at LDANS. These programs are meant to help address some of the effects of learning disabilities, build self-esteem and educate families and professionals about learning disabilities. Linking Language to Learning is a literacy program designed for children who are experiencing difficulty in reading skills development, which may be attributable to a learning disability. LINKS is dedicated to helping children become competent, independent learners, through the experience of good books, and opportunities for good writing. Destination Employment Destination Employment is a Human Resource Development Canada/Opportunities Fund project in partnership with the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada and the Learning Disabilities Association of Nova Scotia. It is an employment readiness program for adults with diagnosed or suspected learning disabilities currently receiving social assistance. For more information or to register, please contact LDANS.
